Flails!: Q10

Over the weekend, I finished Q10! :D

I honestly have mixed feelings for this drama (because of the ending)... but overall I love it. :3 I watched it thinking it would be an obvious love story, something like 'Chobits' (I can't really remember the story of Chobits anymore though...), but I was surprisingly pleased with how much of a life drama it was, and me enjoying it. I like how it's not focused on one character per episode like 'Beginners!', but more like a situation each episode, and then ALL the characters are involved in some way. Not that I dislike the 'Beginners!' format, but it's a nice change from that particular format, which seems to be the case in most dramas nowadays. And this was a drama in 2010! I'd only expect these kinds of drama from 2006 and earlier. Thumbs up to that.

The eccentric-ness of the drama kinda reminds me of 'Nobuta wo Produce'. But if I had to pick, I'd say that NwP is much more... light-hearted. Q10 felt really heavy at times, and I felt like crying at some scenes. (lol)

I got overexcited for Kaku Kento and Takahata Mitsuki's characters. On tumblr everyone (on the Kaku Kento tag) were saying how their love story would've overshadowed the main characters' love story so they didn't bother giving it better closure at the end. I guess it could have been better but I wouldn't say it'd overshadow the mains'. Meh, opinions. Do think it was cute when they got together though.

Apparently, a lot of people said Maeda Atsuko's acting was really bad but I thought it was fine... I mean, the way she moved and her facial expression transitions seem robotic enough. I didn't think it was awkward at all.



It's the only drama I've seen her in so I can't judge her acting in general though. 

Special mention of Renbutsu Misako! :D I don't know why, I just seem to have a soft spot for her... Even though all the roles I've seen her in before this drama weren't very likeable. (lol) I hate her red hair in Q10 though. Meh.

I love the OST. ;___; I actually didn't think of downloading the soundtrack until I read another person's review of Q10. Then I just got it and it's been stuck in my head the past few days. (hahah) It sounds so purdyyy. ♥

Aaaaahhhh winter dramas have started! I'm like, half happy and half terrified because of the amount of dramas I've decided to pick up. XD
