Afterthoughts: Gomen ne Seishun ep05

ky09I had too much to say that would require a ton of tweets again so, livejournal post it is! (hahah)
- One of my favourite things about the show so far is Satoshi's part and how it's progressing. I mean, if we forget about knowing that Heisuke was the one who caused the fire and put ourselves in Yuko's father's shoes, Satoshi is totally the one to blame right? Can you imagine meeting the dude who made the whole town harrass you and your family AND later causing your daughter to run away, never seeing her again for 14 years and counting? The rage is real. How does one even begin to apologize for that? I'd totally understand why Yuko's dad would be mad, and even understand if he didn't forgive Satoshi. But it seems like he has sort of! I admire how thick-faced Satoshi is to constantly help Yuko's father in the field even after being refused and asked to go home. It's not like he can fix what he did wrong by doing this, but he's making the effort. And his efforts got to Yuko's dad near the end of ep05 and I'm just like: :'D
- Things that bothered me:
1. Risa said at the end of ep04 that she has someone she likes (which, after that episode, we're all pretty sure she's talking about Heisuke), but then in ep05 when she's talking to Donmai-sensei about marriage, she says she doesn't even like him. What's this contradiction?! D: D: D: If she's gonna be acting like this (till she y'know, truly falls in love with Heisuke), I'd rather she didn't say she has someone she likes at the end of ep04, just saying. (lol)
2. Guan Yin (in Heisuke's mum's form) in earlier episodes have told Heisuke to give up telling the truth, but then in this episode she reminds Heisuke he needs to fess up. Again, the contradiction! .___. Unless, since Heisuke told her he needs to confess, she's being his morale now and guiding him so that he doesn't forget what he was aiming to do. I'd buy that then. (lol)
3. Birken and Yutaka don't seem like a couple at all. I mean, it's not like I'm asking for a date scene or cute moment with them, but... it's like they're not even concerned of each other. D: Especially that scene when everyone was putting Yutaka down for not being able to join the race thing, I'd expect her to like stand up for him or you know... something?! She didn't say anything and her attitude didn't change either, no eye contact... NOTHING. Perhaps I've been blinded by pure love goggles from the amount of romance stories I've watched and read plus I have no experience in dating, but I really don't think this is how people who are "dating" should act. .___.
4. The Donmai-sensei and Ippei side story. Whut? Why? Just... no. (lol) I found it interesting that Guan Yin revealed herself in front of Ippei because he was comitting a really bad sin though. So she does this whenever someone in the family does something bad? :O
- I died at Ryo's angry 'hey hey hey!' towards his sister-in-law. XD XD XD
- The students call Heisuke 'Hei-chan', awwh! :3
- Looking forward to the OST. *___* I had one of the tracks stuck in my head the whole day. THE WHOLE DAYYY ♥
- The whole scene talking about Yuko and the flashback was just... really sad. :( To run away from home because of that is.. really sad. Just imagining the feelings of Yuko and her dad as a reuslt of that last conversation... ugh, my harto. ;______; I hope Yuko somehow heard her dad's apology on the radio. :'D Seriously Heisuke, what's going to happen to you bruv? Now we know for sure he plans to confess after the joint festival, my earlier prediction of how the drama will unfold is pretty likely. Ermergerd is everyone gonna hate him? Fufufuuuuu
- Heisuke getting touched cause Sanjo girls and Tonkou boys are getting along now is adorable. ♥
- Nakai's character has really become more likeable now. :3 I wonder what's up with her based on that scene near the end with Heisuke... Hm hm hmmm
- (sigh) I'm still pretty bitter about how Ebisawa and Amarin's story was handled. Give me back my time and feels please. -___-

I would've died from the eye contact if I were Elena during this scene. *__________* I wonder how Ryo must've felt during this scene. XD XD XD
- lmao at 3D's 'nante hi da!', trolololol. I know about this Japanese gag because of that Anishi episode with Uchimura Teruyoshi. XD XD XD I somehow feel kind of proud whenever I get Japanese references without explanation from the subber. It shows I've watched enough Japanese stuff to actually get these references now. (hahahahha)
