FLAIL!: Ao Haru Ride

(smh) I can't believe my own obsession with this story. (lol)
I've actually written a little about this already, but those were spoiler free and less flail-y, and I just can't stop obsessing about it, and felt the need to talk about it some more. (eye twitches)
I've been reading available chapters of the manga and watching available episodes of the anime over and over again, and I feel like smacking myself on the head cause I'm getting really anal about how certain scenes are different in the manga and anime. (lol) In my spoiler free flail post, the scene that I was complaining the movie won't be executing exactly like the manga is the one where Toma kisses Futaba in the library for the first time evahhh. That was so cute in the manga and, from the looks of the trailer it ain't looking the same, and I'm just like 'nuuuuuu'. Also, the scene where Kou hugs Futaba to hide her tears, it looks like it's gonna be different as well, and I'm like 'nuuuuuu'. I can't evennnn. (rolls around the floor)
I really like the animation style and colour they used for the flashback scenes of young Kou and Futaba in the anime.

So much prettiness going on! *____* The animation for recent episodes is starting to feel a little off for me though. ^^;
I was seriously amused by the friends of our love triangle boys being excited for their respective friends. It was so cute! (lmao)
Ngaw just look at them! (hahah) Is this how boys act in real life? I find it so adorbs. XD But if it's true, I really can't imagine it. (lol)
I've been living in the Ao Haru Ride tumblr tag ever since I started this whole shenanigan. (hahaha) It's soooo hard to get out because I get interested in everyone's opinions on what's going on so far. I especially like the posts from people who are only watching the anime and not reading the manga, because they're freaking out about Yuuri liking Kou. XD And then the manga readers tell the anime watchers that the Yuuri arc is nothing compared to what's going to happen, and I crack up every time because some of them are so frustrated with the progress of the story. (lol)
Reading other people's thoughts on the story makes me think more about the story as a whole, and not just the romance of it. I felt kinda shallow for only liking and thinking about the love story between Kou and Futaba (and later Toma), that when other people talked about the friendship and team work aspects of the story, I find myself going: "oh yeahhh. I never thought about it that way" (slaps self)
I find it interesting how some people said they got sick of the development of the story that they decided to stop reading it altogether, and that they either hate Kou or Toma or even Futaba so damn much and etc... .___. Is it that bad? I honestly thought the only possible not-likeable person so far (if we're talking about the manga) is Narumi (sorry gurl!). Also, some people think that Sakisaka-sensei is just adding drama to prolong Futaba and Kou from getting together, and don't like it and think it's making the manga draggy... Uh, isn't that the point though? D: Tbh, I never once thought the manga was draggy. In fact, I even thought things were happening quite quick. (lol) But I guess to those who've read these kinds of storylines multiple times, it can get quite boring and predictable, and the thirst for something different is strong.
I don't think it's that predictable though innit? There's a super duper mega high chance Kou and Futaba will ultimately be canon, but a small part of me thinks and wouldn't mind if Futaba and Toma happened all the way till the end of the story (depending on how the Sakisaka-sensei makes it happen though). (lol)

I personally don't get the hate Toma is getting. Some said he was selfish and over-possessive of Futaba, but I don't really see it? All I see is him unable to play it cool cause he's super jealous of Kou, so he rushed Futaba into a relationship. (lol) Plus the fact that he knows Futaba still likes Kou, isn't he doing a pretty good job handling the whole thing already? If Toma got angry at Futaba or something, I probably won't like it though... since he got himself into this situation. I would totes understand if he did, but I hope he doesn't! It would be an image down for him imo. (hahah) I do agree that he was a little pushy when he was trying to court Futaba, but I mean, he likes the girl, of course he's going to do his best to get her. Same goes for Narumi actually. She likes Kou, so of course she would do stuff like telling Futaba that she and Kou kissed before. Even Yuuri did it, when she tried to keep the fact that she knew about Kou's mum before Futaba, because she wanted to feel like she had something special with Kou. So yep, not convinced with the hate Toma's getting based on the reasons everyone's been giving. (shrugs)
OH. Can I just say... how obvious it was that Kou still liked Futaba? Even from the early parts of this story, it was kinda obvious. I mean... am I the only one who thinks this? Or is it so obvs that no one talks about it at all? I've gone through soooooo many tumblr posts, and I have not come across any that talked about this. (lol) I could be wrong, but I think the earliest situation we can see that Kou likes Futaba is that infamous scene where both of them were lying on the table.

When Kou asked whether or not Futaba loved him, things probably would've gone differently if Futaba said 'yes' or have been more shy about it or something. Kou totes got embarrassed when she said he's pretty full of himself to be asking a question like that, and got all defensive. Right? Right?! Why didn't anyone talk about this or did I miss the people who were talking about this? ...or am I just wrong here? (lol)
Another thing that bothers me is... why didn't Yuuri tell Futaba that Kou is possibly in love with her when Toma "entered the rat race"? When Yuuri was crushing on Kou, she pretty much noticed it and was fighting really hard to win Kou's feelings and was even really close to asking him whether he liked Futaba or not. Why did that suddenly disappear huh huh huh? She even seems incredibly oblivious to what's happening right now (although, I guess that's understandable now that she's all lovey-dovey with Uchiyama). I wonder if Sakisaka-sensei is going to address this or not in future chapters. I mean, at least make it into a conversation with Shuuko that she noticed it for a long time if she doesn't talk about it with Futaba herself. I really wanna see this matter being addressed! (lol)
Phew, I needed to get all that out of my system. It's so hard to not have someone flail with about this. (hahaha)
